My life – my personality, my habits, even my speech – is a combination of the books I choose to read, the people I choose to listen to, and the thoughts I choose to tolerate in my mind.

Rubbish in, rubbish out: that which we choose to let into our minds shapes our souls for better or for worse.

Our quality of life depends on careful decision-making each and every day. If we’re attentive to our thoughts and actions, we can make the most out of life and empower others to do the same.

Just as we choose to feed our bodies with nutritious foods, let’s be as attentive to giving the best nutrition to our minds. Make a conscious effort to shift habits: if watching crap TV late at night makes you feel negative, choose to call a friend instead, listen to a pre-sleep meditation podcast, watch a light hearted film or read a novel you love.

Thoughts shape our actions; actions shape our lives.
